I love turquoise, especially Lavender Turquoise. This rare form of turquoise was discovered in the Golden Hills of Kazakhstan in 2013. This stone, which can only be mined in the winter, is vibrant in color and very durable. I found these 2 pieces of Lavender Turquoise and immediately thought of creating a butterfly pendant. As I transformed the stone, I realized the natural side of the turquoise had its own elegant, rugged beauty, and as a result, a 2 sided butterfly was born. One side is the raw form of the stone, embellished in pink sapphires to bring out the natural pink matrix. The other side is the stone transformed and polished in a vibrant blue and encrusted with yellow diamonds. It measures 1.75 inches wide and 1 inch tall. Chain length: 16-18 inches
